Ritual and Retreat

Are you longing to deepen into connection to land, yourself, and your human and more-than-human communities?

Do you see collective healing as part of your commitment to the liberation of all life?

Are you seeking more community and support around this work and practice?

So often, conflict and tension and, well, life, lead us towards our growth edges, the deeper places that need healing attention.

And staying committed to the work and practice of collective liberation (plus just plain surviving under capitalism) requires us to be fiercely committed to our resilience practices.

Some of this work can happen in a 1-1 container, and some of it needs to happen collectively, through ritual space and retreats centered around resiliency and liberatory healing.

If you are a changemaker committed to personal and collective liberation and longing to deepen into your embodieded healing and ritual practices, you’ve come to the right place.

Nicole is a community-gathering artist with a warm, spacious and compassionate facilitation style.

I felt able to step more into my own self and body just by watching them model their own embodiment. Being held in the space they created was a gift.

How are we resourcing from the wider web of life, from our own lineages, from ancestors, and from our own bodies to weave the rituals and resourcing spaces we need to stay in this long-haul work of liberation?

These can be hard questions to answer when so many of us are deeply severed from land and our own lineages, and, when many responses to these longings are harmful and appopriative.

I don’t pretend to be an expert, but I’m trying on that some of the antidote is to weave this cultural reclamation work with deep healing and action around things like race, class, and so on.

I believe we need to be reckoning with questions of accountability and repair along the way, while calling forth the wisdom of our own traditions, and tuning into the lands we call home as a guide for this moment.

Retreats support us to fight back against the domination systems of capitalism and its cronies, and reclaim radical rest and nourishment through resilience, land and community.

Ritual helps us to metabolize loss, to open up space for grief, to mark transitions, to celebrate, and to strengthen our conflict and repair processes.

In other words, we need emergent ritual to help us meet the moment.

Is it time to step deeper into your own embodied healing and transformation, in service of your commitment to collective liberation?

So how does all of this really work?!

I regularly offer healing retreats and ritual space that are open to the public, and can also customize an offer for your group or community.

I have a particular depth of experience in working with white folks, queer folks and folks of Christian lineage, and also have experience holding space for folks of all identities, and have co-facilitators with whom I collaborate often.

Some of my regular public offerings include:

By bringing a trauma-informed, healing-centered approach, along with an awareness of power and oppression, we can actually begin to tend to what’s at the root.

I loved the connection to other queers, to the greater community, and the chance to see, that though my burdens were too big for me to hold alone, I didn't have too.

Here are some of the benefits of ritual and retreat you can look forward to:

  • Acquiring tools and skills to use in the rest of your life to help you pause, ground, and re-align with your purpose

  • Clarity around your priorities and capacity, so you can move with more flow and empowerment towards your goals

  • Growing awareness of limiting beliefs that keep you stuck, and support to live into more generative narratives about yourself and the world

  • A settled nervous system under a wider range of intense circumstances and emotions

  • A more felt sense of your inherent belonging + growing connection to actual community

  • Collective healing experiences that aren’t possible through individual work

  • Greater capacity freed up to move towards action and finding your right-sized contribution to collective liberation

  • Deepened connection to land, the sacred, the more-than-human, grief, gratitude and more + practices to support these ongoing relationships

“Nicole is a skillful space holder. They listen deeply, which includes, at times, hearing what’s not being said. They provide space for what emerges, not forcing the experience to fit into a neat box.”

I bring all of who I am to to my work as a ritualist and facilitator, and weave together various modalities to serve you and your purpose. My background as a farmer, birth doula, yoga teacher, natural builder, somatics practitioner, and queer parent means I bring a radical approach to holding space that is grounded in connection to the earth and the body and rooted in my own commitment to supporting folks to find their unique contribution to collective liberation.

I look forward to hearing from you, and wish you well on your healing journey.

I want to see you thrive.
